Deacon Logan is a musician and dude from England. He is the result of a misspent youth and a lifetime obsession with the 1980s in general, and the Bill and Ted movies in particular.

Q&A
Q. What's all the 2688 stuff about?
A. Seven centuries after the first film is set, society has become a utopia thanks to the music and philosophy of the Great Ones, Bill and Ted. A denizen of that utopia, known only to us as Rufus, is sent by the Future Council back to 1988 to guide the Great Ones on their true path.
Q. Hang on, doesn't that create a paradox, like the chicken and the egg?
A. Ummmm....
Q. Who are the Future Council?
A. No-one really knows... but they sure play excellent music. They seem to be led by a trio of exalted dudes who preside over the court. Other members of the court come and go, but only three are seated. The Future Council dispatch Rufus at the start of the first movie, and encounter Bill and Ted after a time travel mishap.
Q. So who is Deacon Logan in the movies?
A. He's Ted's little brother. He's charged with looking after Napoleon while Bill and Ted are busy, which ends up with Deacon ditching Napoleon in San Dimas. Thankfully Napoleon ends up at the Waterloo water park where our heroes catch up with him.
Q. Deacon kinda sounds like a douche. Why would you name yourself after him?
A. That's a good question. Aren't we all capable of reform though? Maybe Deacon's transgressions reflect an underlying and recurring theme of the movies that everyone is capable of excellence, and being excellent. Also, all the other names related to Bill and Ted were taken.
